Inter ace takes signing of the summer honour

Although they haven't been the most active of Serie A's top sides in the transfer window, Inter's capture of Ever Banega is the best bit of business so far. Others have spent more or recruited more depth so far during the summer months but their acquisition of the Argentine stands out as quite the coup. It is all the more impressive considering they picked up a player of Banega's undoubted quality on a free transfer, following the expiration of his contract with Sevilla. He won two Europa League trophies during his time in Andalusia, including picking up a man of the match award in the 2015 final, and has impressed during spells with Boca Juniors, Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Newell's Old Boys. The kind of composure and accurate passing that he can bring to the Nerazzurri midfield could prove to be priceless for Frank de Boer and add something which has been missing from the side in recent seasons. His versatility is also a valuable asset to the Biscione and all of that combined with the fact that they didn't even have to fork out a fee for the player means he is arguably the best signing in Serie A so far this summer.
